What is the ruling if the wife has an excuse preventing intercourse when the waiting period ends?
General Chapter
Al-Mughni
Book of the Oath of Abstention (Ila')
Primary text
If the wife has an excuse preventing consummation, she is not entitled to demand cohabitation (*fi'ah*) because the impediment originates from her side. Therefore, she cannot demand what she herself prevents. Furthermore, demanding rights requires entitlement, and she is not entitled to intercourse in those specific circumstances.
