If the Kaffarah is performed after the completion of the four months, but before the husband stands before a judge or makes a formal declaration regarding the cessation of the oath (Waqf), the situation then resembles one who swore to abstain for a period exceeding four months. The Ilaa' is deemed to cease only once the duration specified in his oath has elapsed, provided the Kaffarah was performed within that timeframe preceding the Waqf.
