Is it permissible to enter into a single partnership contract (Mudarabah) with two individuals?

Primary text
It is permissible to advance capital to two individuals in a single Mudarabah contract. If the condition is that the profit between them is split equally (half and half), the contract is valid. If the condition specifies fixed portions of the profit for each, such as 'for you both, such and such a profit,' and does not clarify the division, it defaults to an equal division between them. This is because the unqualified term 'between them' implies equality, similar to when one says to a single agent, 'The profit is between us.'
