It is not permissible for the permitted slave to gift money or clothing belonging to the master. This ruling is held by Abu Hanifa.

The Shafi'i school holds that none of these gifts are permissible without the master's explicit permission, reasoning that it constitutes a gratuitous transfer of the master's property, analogous to gifting the master's money.
