What is the legal nature of a partnership contract (Sharika)?

The partnership contract is a revocable contract. It is terminated by the death of either partner, the insanity of either partner, the declaration of the partner as being financially incompetent (Hajr) due to folly, or by the termination (Faskh) initiated by either party. This termination principle is analogous to that of agency (Wakala), as both are revocable contracts.
