Primary text
If the debt is deferred and the pledgee pays it off immediately with the pledgor's permission, the pledgee has recourse immediately. If he pays it off without permission, the Qadi (judge) holds that the pledgee still has immediate recourse because the pledgee has the right to demand the release of his collateral (the slave) immediately.
