The mortgagor is permitted to perform procedures such as venesection (fashd) or bloodletting on animals, which involves opening the two main vessels (Wadajan) in the neck, or performing tabzeeg (opening a wound), provided that there is no fear of harm resulting from the action.

If harm is feared, neither party can compel the other to act. If cutting a part of the body is necessary via medicine without expected harm, it is permitted; if harm is feared, neither party can be compelled.
