Primary text

If the pledgor pledges a beast of burden carrying the pledgor's load and delivers it to the pledgee, the delivery is valid. Furthermore, if the load itself, while on the beast of burden, is pledged and the pledgee takes possession of the beast along with its load, the possession is valid. This is because possession has been established for both items collectively, thus fulfilling the requirement for the portion that constitutes the pledge.
