What is the ruling on the status of the mortgage if the master dies leaving no surplus assets to cover the debt?

If the master dies and his estate lacks sufficient assets beyond the debt amount, the Mudabbir is sold to settle the debt. In this situation, the manumission stipulation (Tadbir) is nullified because the debt takes precedence over the manumission, but the mortgage itself does not become void.
