Primary text
There is no distinction in the right to claim and exclusively take the proceeds of the collateral whether the pledged item is alive or dead. This is because the priority is established based on the right being connected to the specific asset, and this characteristic does not change based on the life or death of the collateral, similar to how claims stemming from bodily injury retain their established status.
