In the two Rak'ahs following the Maghrib prayer, the recitation must include Surah Al-Kafirun ({Qul Ya Ayyuha Al-Kafirun}) and Surah Al-Ikhlas ({Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad}). This is established by the narration of Ibn Mas'ud, who stated that he frequently heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) reciting these two Surahs in the two Rak'ahs after Maghrib and the two Rak'ahs before Fajr. This narration is recorded by Al-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah.
