Does committing a sin during permissible travel invalidate the travel concessions?
Chapter on the Traveler's Prayer
Al-Mughni
Book of Prayer
Primary text
If the travel itself remains permissible, even if the traveler commits a sin while traveling, this does not prevent the application of travel concessions. This is because the underlying cause for the concession, which is the permissible journey, still exists. The presence of sin does not invalidate the concession, just as committing a sin while resident (in one's hometown) does not negate obligations or permissions related to residency.
