Enhancing the voice and making it melodious during Quran recitation is established as desirable (mustahabb) and not disliked, provided it does not lead to altering the words or adding letters. Evidence supporting this includes the Prophet's approval upon hearing the recitation of Salim, the freed slave of Abu Hudhayfah, whom the Prophet praised. Additionally, the Prophet (peace be upon him) told Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari that he had been given a flute (mizmar) from the flutes of the family of David, indicating appreciation for his beautiful voice.
