The time for the Fajr prayer enters by the unanimous agreement (Ijma') of scholars upon the appearance of the second dawn, which is the spreading whiteness across the horizon, known as the true dawn (Al-Fajr Al-Sadiq). The first dawn (Al-Fajr Al-Kadhib) is a narrow vertical light without extension, and no legal ruling is attached to it.
