It is disliked for a man to frequently wipe his forehead before completing the prayer, as this is considered impoliteness ('jafa''). Al-Awza'i disliked it, and Sa'id ibn Jubayr considered it impoliteness. Ibn Abbas stated, 'Do not wipe your forehead, nor blow, nor move pebbles.'
