If the Imam, after rising for the third rak'ah (in a four-rak'ah prayer), remembers he is traveling, must he complete the prayer?

If the Imam remembers after rising for the third rak'ah that he is traveling, he is not obligated to complete the prayer and may sit down. The intention to remain or the act of following a resident Imam are the only factors necessitating completion, and neither condition is met in this case.
