Intentional deviation to recite something other than Al-Fatiha or to make uncommanded supplication invalidates the recitation of Al-Fatiha.

Supporting text

The view attributed to Al-Qadi in Al-Jami' holds that any silence accompanied by the intention to stop invalidates the recitation, and deviation to other recitation or uncommanded supplication voids it, without differentiating between brief or extensive deviation.
