Primary text
It is disliked for a man to lead unrelated women with no men present, due to the Prophet's prohibition against a man being in seclusion with an unrelated woman. However, it is permissible for him to lead his female unmarriageable kin (*Maharim*), and it is permissible for him to lead women alongside men, as women used to pray with the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the mosque, and he led women, and he led Anas and his mother in their home.
