Primary text

It is obligatory to accept an offer if someone is willing to sell a garment at its fair price, or rent it at its fair rent, or at a price slightly higher than the fair rent, provided that the individual is capable of providing the equivalent compensation. This obligation applies when the difference in price falls within what people commonly overlook (taghabun).

Supporting text

If the price demanded for sale or rent exceeds what people commonly overlook, acceptance is not obligatory, mirroring the ruling concerning the purchase of water for ablution.
