Is it permissible to pray another congregational voluntary prayer after Tarawih prayer?
Chapter on the Times When Prayer is Prohibited
Al-Mughni
Book of Prayer
Primary text
It is permissible to pray another voluntary prayer congregationally after Tarawih, or to perform the Tarawih prayer again in a separate congregation. This view is attributed to Ahmad, based on the narration of Anas ibn Malik stating that the people did not return except for good they hoped for or evil they feared, and Anas did not see an issue with it. The established practice follows the narration supported by the majority.
Supporting text
Muhammad ibn al-Hakam narrated from Ahmad that it is disliked (makruh), but this is an old opinion, and the practice follows the majority narration.
