Is it preferable to perform Witr prayer with the Imam during Taraweeh?

It is preferred to pray with the Imam and perform Witr with him. This preference is based on the saying of the Prophet, peace be upon him: "When a man stands (in prayer) with the Imam until he departs, the remainder of his night is recorded for him." Ahmad used to pray Taraweeh and Witr with the congregation. Furthermore, it is stated that one who prays the entire Taraweeh and Witr with the Imam is acting according to this hadith.
