The validity of a person who has performed Wudu following someone who has performed Tayammum in prayer is established without known dispute. This is supported by the action of 'Amr ibn al-'As, who led his companions in prayer after performing Tayammum, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not object when informed. Similarly, Ibn 'Abbas led his companions, including 'Ammar ibn Yasir and a group of the Prophet's Companions, while performing Tayammum, and they did not object. The reasoning is that the one performing Tayammum is considered to have performed a valid purification, thus resembling the one who has performed Wudu.
