Primary text

It is not permissible for a person with Wudu or Tayammum to follow someone who lacks both water and dry earth for purification. Likewise, it is not permissible for a clothed person to follow a naked person, nor for someone capable of facing the Qibla to follow someone unable to do so. This is because the Imam is neglecting a required condition that the follower is capable of fulfilling, which is analogous to a healthy person following someone with continuous urinary discharge.

Supporting text

It is valid for each of these groups (e.g., naked persons) to follow one among themselves, as the naked individuals praying in congregation has been previously established.
