Must the listener perform the prostration of recitation after the reciter finishes the recitation outside of prayer?

Chapter on the Description of Prayer

Book of Prayer

Primary text

The listener does not prostrate after the reciter finishes the recitation when both are outside of prayer. The reasoning is that if one omits the prostration for recitation during their own prayer, they are not required to perform it upon finishing the prayer; thus, it is more appropriate that they are not required to perform it upon merely hearing it outside of prayer.

Supporting text

Abu Hanifa holds the view that the listener performs the prostration upon completion of the recitation, but this view is not sound.
