How many times must a missed prayer be made up after realizing it or waking up from sleep?

The performance of a missed prayer is not required more than once upon waking up or remembering it. This is based on the fact that the Prophet (peace be upon him) is not reported to have made up the missed prayer more than once. The Prophet (peace be upon him) stated, "Whoever sleeps through a prayer or forgets it, let him pray it when he remembers it," and he did not add further instruction regarding repetition.
