Is a menstruating woman required to make up missed prayers?

A menstruating woman is not required to make up prayers missed during her period. The ruling is based on the context that if making up the prayer were obligatory for her, specifying the makeup (*qada'*) only for this condition would lack meaning. This is the correct position within the Madhhab.
