Is performing Witr prayer while traveling on a mount permissible?

It is permissible to perform the Witr prayer while traveling on a mount. Ibn Umar narrated that the Prophet would pray Witr upon his camel, and it is noted that the Prophet would perform voluntary prayers (Tassbih) and Witr on his mount, but not the obligatory prayer (Maktubah).
