The integration of silk into clothing is permissible if it does not exceed the measure of two, three, or four fingers. This ruling is supported by the statement attributed to Umar ibn al-Khattab, who narrated the Prophet's prohibition of silk except for a measure of two, three, or four fingers. Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi narrated this hadith, with Tirmidhi classifying it as Hasan Sahih (good and authentic). This allowance extends to silk that is dyed or integrated into patches, the collar lining (labnah al-jayb), or fur linings, as these fall under the scope of the general narration.
