Is placing religious emblems, specifically the cross ('taslib'), on clothing disliked?

Placing the cross (*taslib*) on clothing is disliked (*yukrahu*). This ruling is supported by the narration of Imran ibn Hattān, who reported from Aisha that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "He used not to leave anything with a cross in his house except that he would cut it off (*qadhabahu*)." This narration is found in Abu Dawud.
