Is the prayer invalidated if contamination falls upon a person and is then removed immediately, or was removed by the person during the prayer?

The prayer is not invalidated. This is supported by the example of the Prophet, peace be upon him, who removed the soiled sandals and completed the prayer. Furthermore, minor forms of contamination are excused, and the brief duration of contamination is excused similarly to the uncovering of the private parts (cawra). This is the established position of al-Shāfi'ī.
