Prayer is permissible in sheep folds. Ibn Al-Mundhir affirmed a consensus among scholars on this permissibility. Abu Musa prayed in an area containing sheep feces and declared that the area in question was equivalent to the preferred area.

Al-Shafi'i dissented, stipulating that the area must be clean of their droppings and urine for prayer to be valid.
