Is the prayer repeated if performed in an impure garment due to necessity?
Chapter on the Description of Prayer
Al-Mughni
Book of Prayer
Primary text
The prayer performed in a necessary impure garment does not require repetition. This is the established view of Ahmad, Malik, and Al-Awza'i, considered correct. The basis is that the prerequisite of purity from impurity was impossible to meet, leading to its nullification, much like the waiver of covering or facing the Qibla when impossible. Since the prayer was correctly performed despite the absence of this condition, it is sufficient.
