What are the preferred colors of clothing for prayer, according to the Sunnah?

Green garments were seen worn by the Prophet, peace be upon him, and the garment called *Hibrat* (striped cloth) was his most beloved. Yellow dye was also preferred by the Prophet, peace be upon him, to the extent that he dyed all his clothes, including his turban, with it. One should wear white garments, as they are considered among the best clothing, and they should be used for shrouds as well.
