What is the procedure for raising the hands after straightening up from *Ruku'* and before the prostration?

After saying "Sami'a Allahu liman hamidah" and achieving a straight standing posture, the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, would raise his hands parallel to his shoulders while saying "Allahu Akbar," before descending into prostration.
