What is the procedure for raising up from the first prostration when beginning a new *Rak'ah*?

When rising from the prostration to begin the next *Rak'ah*, the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, would say *Takbir* and raise his hands parallel to his shoulders, just as he did when commencing the prayer.
