Is raising the hands during the *takbir* accompanying prostration within formal prayer recommended?

It is recommended to raise the hands accompanying the *takbir* of prostration during formal prayer. Ahmad supported this by citing the narration of Wa'il ibn Hujr, who stated that he observed the Prophet's prayer and noted that the Prophet would say *Allahu Akbar* when lowering and raising, and would raise his hands during the *takbir*. Ahmad interpreted this narration as encompassing all instances of *takbir*, a view shared by Muslim ibn Yasar and Muhammad ibn Sirin.
