What is the recommended status for the Mu'adhin (caller)?

It is recommended that the Mu'adhin be righteous and trustworthy and mature because he is entrusted with announcing the times for prayer and fasting. If he is not so, there is concern that he might deceive people with his call. Additionally, the Mu'adhin ascends to a high place, and if he is not trustworthy, there is concern that he might look upon the private parts (Awrat).
