What is the relationship between madhy and maniyy (semen)?

A narration from Ahmad states that madhy is equivalent to maniyy, suggesting they are not from the passage of urine but rather from the loins and ribs, similar to sputum and mucus, because both share the cause of sexual desire, and madhy is an emanation following sexual arousal, thus resembling semen.
