What is required if one yawns during prayer?

If one yawns during prayer, it is recommended that they suppress it as much as possible. If one is unable to suppress it, it is recommended to place the hand over the mouth. This is based on the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him): If one of you yawns during prayer, let him suppress it as much as he can, for the devil enters. Another narration states: If one of you yawns, let him place his hand over his mouth, for the devil enters. This latter narration was related by Sa'id in his Sunan, and al-Tirmidhi judged it to be Hasan (good).
