The hadith narrated by Rafi' ibn Khadij, which proponents of delaying Asr use as evidence, is not sound. Al-Tirmidhi declared it invalid. Al-Daraqutni stated that its narrator, Abd al-Wahid ibn Nafi', is not strong, and the narration is not sound from Rafi' nor from any other companion. The correct established practice is the early performance of the Asr prayer.
