What is the ruling on an individual unable to stand leading others similarly unable to stand using gestures?

If the Imam is leading those similar to himself (i.e., also unable to stand), the established position within the madhhab indicates the validity of such prayer using gestures (i̇māʾ). This is established by the precedent where the Prophet, peace be upon him, prayed with his companions during rain using gestures, and the example of the naked praying in congregation using gestures, as well as the situation of those fighting in battle (al-musāyafah).
