It is recommended for the Prophet (peace be upon him) to sit in his place of prayer (after Fajr) until the sun rises beautifully, as narrated by Muslim and Abu Dawud from Jabir ibn Samura. Sa'd also narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) would not leave his prayer spot after Fajr until the sun rose.
