It is disliked to press one foot against the other while standing in prayer. Uyaynah ibn Abd al-Rahman reported that he saw a man praying with his feet perfectly aligned and touching, and his father noted that he had seen eighteen Companions of the Prophet, peace be upon him, in that mosque, and none of them performed this action. Ibn Umar maintained a space between his feet, not touching them to each other, nor moving them far apart, but maintaining a moderate distance.
