Under what conditions may a sick person pray while mounted on an animal?

If the sick person fears unavoidable harm from dismounting—such as being separated from companions (al-rifqah), being incapable of remounting, or experiencing an exacerbation of the illness—then the prayer must be performed upon the mount, similar to the ruling established for the fear prayer (Salat al-Khawf).
