Validity of leading prayer when permitted by the person with the right to lead

If the person entitled to lead (owner, authority figure, or regular Imam) permits another man to lead the prayer, it is permissible, taking the status of one who has been given permission concerning priority of leading. This is supported by the Prophet's saying concerning permission and the fact that leading is a right that the rightful possessor can transfer to whomever he wills.
