What is the validity of a prayer performed based on deduction when the time is uncertain?
Chapter on Prayer Times
Al-Mughni
Book of Prayer
Primary text
A sighted person, a blind person, or one who is veiled but capable of deducing the time are all equal in this regard due to their shared ability to estimate time passage. If a person prays in such a state and it subsequently becomes clear that they prayed exactly at the correct time or shortly after, the prayer suffices because the obligation was fulfilled as commanded. If it becomes clear that the prayer was performed before the time began, it is invalid, as the command and the prerequisite for obligation occurred only after the action was completed, and an action prior to the prerequisite does not negate its ruling.

If prayer is performed based on deduction and it is found to have occurred after the time began, it suffices.
