What constitutes an excessive duration of flow leading to the status of Istihadah (non-menstrual bleeding)?

If the bleeding extends beyond the maximum duration of menses, meaning the time between the first and last instance of blood exceeds fifteen days—for example, seeing blood one day and purity the next for up to eighteen days—the woman is classified as a Mustahadah (one experiencing Istihadah).
