What constitutes post-natal bleeding (Nifas) for a woman?

Post-natal bleeding (Nifas) is established if a woman sees blood after delivering something in which the creation of a human being is discernible. This ruling is explicitly stated. If the expulsion occurs after the shedding of a semen drop (nutfa) or a blood clot (alaqa), the bleeding is not considered Nifas.
