What is the duration limit for wiping over a turban (Imamah) during Wudu?

The prescribed time limit for wiping over the turban is identical to the time limit for wiping over the leather socks (Khuff). The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, stated that wiping is permissible for three days and nights when traveling (Safar), and one day and one night when resident (Muqim). This ruling is supported by the narration of Abu Umamah, reported by Al-Khall. Wiping over the turban is established on the basis of concession (Rukhsah), and thus, it is subjected to a time restriction, similar to the Khuff.
