The basis for invalidation from any location rests on the general meaning of the verse, "Or if someone comes to you from relieving nature" (Quran 5:6). Additionally, the narration of Safwan ibn Assal, who was commanded not to remove his shoes for three days and nights except due to sexual defilement, feces, urine, or sleep, indicates invalidation from feces and urine regardless of the location of exit, as the term *ghait* (feces) is used conventionally for the exit itself due to association with the place of defecation.
